When changing seasons for
WF series generator sets, in order to ensure their normal operation and extend their service life, the following matters need to be noted:
1. Maintenance of engine oil and lubrication system
Cleaning crankcase and lubricating surfaces:
Use a mixture of engine oil, kerosene and diesel as washing oil to clean the crankcase and various lubricating surfaces.
After the engine oil is drained, add washing oil for cleaning, then let the diesel generator set run at low speed for 3~5 minutes, then drain the washing oil, and finally add new engine oil.
Check the amount of engine oil:
Before starting the diesel generator and diesel engine, ensure sufficient oil to prevent abnormal wear or combustion caused by insufficient engine oil.
2. Fuel system maintenance
Cleaning fuel filter:
Various fuel filters in the fuel supply system should be cleared of debris once every 100~200 hours of work, and the fuel tank and various oil pipelines should be thoroughly cleaned.
When cleaning the filter element and seal, be particularly careful and replace them in time if they are damaged.
Replace diesel with the appropriate grade:
The diesel used should meet the seasonal requirements and must be treated with 48 hours of precipitation and purification. Before the temperature drops, it should be replaced with fuel with a lower freezing point, or anti-coagulant should be added to prevent it from failing to start when used in winter.
III. Cooling system maintenance
Replace the coolant:
When the temperature is low, the antifreeze should be replaced to prevent the coolant from freezing and damaging the machine body. The freezing point of the antifreeze should be lower than the local ambient temperature.
If the unit is not used in winter, the circulating water in the water tank and the machine body should be drained.
IV. Operation and maintenance operations
Gradually reduce the speed and run at no load:
The diesel generator should unload the load before shutting down, and gradually reduce the speed and run at no load for a few minutes to avoid overheating or wear of parts due to the cessation of cooling water circulation.
Avoid rapid wear during cold start:
When the diesel engine is cold started, due to the high viscosity and poor fluidity of the oil, poor lubrication may occur, resulting in rapid wear. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the supply of engine oil and preheating of the machine during cold start.
5. Other precautions
Check for oil leakage:
Check diesel generator sets regularly for oil leakage, and if found, handle it in time.
Keep the unit clean:
Clean dust and debris on the surface of the unit regularly to keep it clean and dissipate heat well.
In summary, WF series generator sets need to pay attention to the oil and lubrication system, fuel system, cooling system, operation and maintenance operations and other maintenance matters when changing seasons. Through meticulous maintenance and care, the normal operation of the unit during the change of seasons can be ensured and the service life can be extended.
