1. Thunderstorm weather :
Lightning protection : Generator sets should take lightning protection measures, especially generators directly connected to overhead distribution lines, which need to install lightning arresters to prevent lightning waves from intruding. Lightning arresters should be installed close to the generator and their working conditions should be checked regularly .
Moisture-proof measures : Prevent the generator set from getting damp, ensure that the equipment is dry, and avoid moisture in the electrical system that causes insulation performance degradation .
2. High temperature conditions :
Ventilation and heat dissipation : Ensure that the generator set has sufficient air inlets and outlets, avoid operating under the sun, keep the area around the unit clean, and avoid debris affecting ventilation .
Coolant inspection : Check whether there is enough cooling water in the water tank before starting, regularly check whether the coolant hose is aging or leaking, and replace it in time .
Battery maintenance : Regularly check the battery status to prevent high temperature from causing battery electrolyte evaporation and affecting starting performance .
Lubricant selection: Choose lubricants with moderate viscosity and good antioxidant properties to reduce friction and wear.
3. Low temperature conditions:
Fuel selection: In winter, light diesel with low freezing point and good ignition performance should be selected to ensure that diesel still has good fluidity at low temperatures.
Engine oil and lubrication: Choose low-viscosity engine oil to improve its fluidity and ensure that the engine is well lubricated.
Cooling system: Use antifreeze or add antifreeze to prevent cooling water from freezing and causing damage to the cooling system. The engine should be kept idling before shutting down, and the water should be drained after the cooling water temperature drops below 60°C.
Starting and preheating: Preheating should be performed before starting under low temperature conditions to increase the temperature of fuel and engine oil and reduce the difficulty of starting. After starting, it should run at a low speed for 3-5 minutes, and check that the lubricating oil is working normally before putting it into normal operation.
Battery maintenance: Check battery performance regularly and use insulation materials to improve battery performance. Keep the battery clean and dry to prevent short circuit or performance degradation.
Through the above measures, the safe operation and extended service life of WF series generator sets can be better guaranteed in different severe weather conditions.
