1. Smoke, sparks, vibration and noise: If the diesel generator is found to have smoke, sparks, large vibration and buzzing noise during operation, the emergency stop button should be used to stop immediately, and the diesel generator set should be fully inspected to find out the cause of the fault. Check whether the foundation of the unit is firm, whether the components are installed evenly, whether the connection is correct, etc., and report the inspection results to the value leader to decide on further measures.
2. Overheating problem: If the diesel generator body is overheated (more than 30℃ above the ambient temperature), check whether the generator cooling air inlet and outlet are unobstructed, whether the ambient temperature is too high, whether the cooling water temperature is high, whether the stator voltage is too high (1.05UN), and whether there is overload, etc. If the generator bearing is overheated (greater than 80℃), check for abnormal noise, blue bearing, good lubrication, oil quality, etc., find out the cause and deal with it, report to the duty officer if necessary and notify the maintenance personnel to deal with it.
3. Protection tripping: Possible causes of protection tripping include generator stator overvoltage or low voltage, stator overcurrent, low lubricating oil pressure, high cooling water temperature, starting failure, generator outlet switch protection tripping, generator reverse power, diesel generator set overspeed or low frequency, generator demagnetization, etc. When dealing with it, check the optical signal and the tripped switch, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the diesel generator set, and restore the optical signal and protection action signal after eliminating the fault. For faults that cannot be handled, notify the maintenance personnel to deal with it.
4. Abnormal operation handling: Possible causes of abnormal operation include low cooling water level, low lubricating oil level, low cooling water temperature, high and low fuel oil level, low lubricating oil pressure, high cooling water temperature, low battery voltage, generator grounding fault, synchronous relay fault, 400V switch device fault, etc. The operator should confirm the abnormal cause according to the light signal and eliminate it as much as possible. If the abnormal situation cannot be eliminated, it should be notified for maintenance.
5. Common faults and solutions: Common faults of diesel generators include failure to start normally, abnormal or large fluctuations in output voltage, unstable frequency, etc. The reasons for failure to start normally may include fuel system failure, battery exhaustion, starter motor failure, fuel supply throttle valve failure, etc. Solutions include checking the connection of the fuel pipe joint, replacing the battery, checking the starter motor and fuel supply system, etc.
6. Maintenance and care: Daily maintenance includes observation, hearing, smelling, touching, measuring and recording. These methods can be used to judge the operating status of the generator set and find and solve problems in time. In addition, regular inspection and replacement of engine oil and oil filter to ensure oil quality and cleanliness are also important measures to maintain the normal operation of WF series generator sets.
